Phil Whitton #3437 joined the Ulysses Club on 20th May 1991 and has been a member of the Wollondilly Wanderers Branch for the last 29 years.

He is still an active member and over the years he has participated in all Branch activities and rides, he served on the Committee and in the position of Wollondilly Wanderers Branch President from February 2008 to February 2009.

Phil has always had an interest in the restoration of old motorcycles and for the last 15 years, since the Canberra AGM he has been the Ulysses Club Representative in the Historical Bike Registrations for the State of New South Wales, he regularly liaises with interstate examiners. He combines his love of motorcycle riding with the Historical Registrations and when time permits, he makes 'house calls' throughout the State to conduct the inspections. He always makes himself available for anyone who wishes to obtain information regarding historic registrations and the restoration of older model motorcycles.

He is a qualified Track Marshall at both Eastern Creek and Wakefield Park and has been marshalling at these tracks for the past 1O years.

Phil has been attending the Isle of Man TT Races for the last 13 years and he is currently the holder of a Track Marshalls licence, he has held this licence there and performed marshalling duties for the last 1O years.

Phil's whole recreational life revolves around motorcycles, motorcycle racing and also the Ulysses Club. We as a Branch Committee of the Wollondilly Wanderers recommend him as a worthy candidate for the presentation of a Dearnley Medal.

The National Committee was pleased to approve the nomination and Phil was presented with Dearnley Medal #75 at the AGM held 15 May 2021 in Orange, NSW.
